In 1987, in partnership with my father Frank we began a start-up manufacturers’ representative & consulting firm focused on military product lines. Our early successes included providing common rugged printers for the US Navy surface fleet, TACAN ship to air communication processors for aircraft carrier landing, and Phalanx Integrated Maintenance System (PIMS) computers for General Electric and NSWC Crane Division. Our focus has always been on strategic, long term program sales to military, government and their industry contractors for shipboard, ground, vehicular, deployable and fixed site applications.

On my own since 2003, I have continued this focus with various companies in a sales and business development role. The goals of securing new business opportunities have been realized by developing appropriate relationships and customer intimacy by understanding the manufacturer’s capabilities we promote, and linking them to the customer’s needs for these products or services. By pursuing the “program”, we reach out to each leg of the acquisition process from both the government and industry side in order to verify their requirements, funding, and priorities while articulating our manufacturer’s capabilities to provide solutions to their problems. Together with the customer and manufacturer, time is spent developing the best approach for each program identified as a key pursuit, with the goal of providing solutions and establishing a long-term mutually beneficial relationship for all parties.

Current projects include teaming with Raytheon to supply the US Navy CIWS for displays and computers, providing the US Army TUA (Targeting Under Armor) specialized sensor display for DRS, and managing & developing a small business Mentor-Protégé relationship in partnership with Lockheed.

Previously I was employed by Sperry Systems Management, the US Naval Electronic Systems Command (now SPAWAR in San Diego) and Mantech International; my roles and responsibilities focused on hardware design functions, performing testing & troubleshooting, designing interface cabling & drawings, developing technical documentation, and logistics support plans. These functions applied to US Navy shipboard EW (electronic warfare), sensor systems, US Navy Air Traffic Control Systems, and other related US Navy and multi-service systems. I can assist in:

  • Keeping your existing programs “sold”, while leveraging these into new business opportunities

  • Prepare strategy and “color team” support to increase Pwin

  • Increase “opportunity identification” and prioritize pursuits

  • Advise on and take part in proposal and “white paper” generation and content

  • Advise on and put together teaming opportunities

  • Suggest appropriate acquisitions and divestitures
